Acupuncture

Costs: Initial Appointment £45 - Subsequent Appointment £40

Acupuncture originated in China and other far eastern cultures where it still features in mainstream healthcare, both as a standalone therapy and in combination with conventional western medicine.

What is acupuncture and how does it work?

Acupuncture works to help maintain your body’s equilibrium.  It involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body to regulate the flow of ‘qi’ your body’s vital energy.

For a number of lifestyle and environmental reasons qi can become disturbed, depleted or blocked, which can result in some symptoms of pain and illness or dis-ease.  In certain instances, traditional acupuncture can be an effective therapy to help restore balance and promote physical and emotional harmony.

Treatment is aimed at the root cause of your condition as well as your main symptoms.  This approach helps with resolving your problem and enhancing your feeling of wellbeing.

The benefits of acupuncture

Acupuncture is becoming an increasingly popular treatment and there is a growing body of clinical evidence that acupuncture can be a very effective treatment.

Acupuncture is a drug-free way to manage your health and it is also surprisingly relaxing. Acupuncture is widely recognised as an effective way to treat all manner of physical and emotional conditions. The aim of each treatment is to restore the harmonious function of our internal organs, muscles, nervous system etc. by regulating the flow and quality of Qi, blood and body fluids.
